Story

Their journey leads them to the town of Althena, which is home to a number of nearby ruins that are said to hold the key to breaking the curse.
In Althena, Chante and Elise meet a variety of characters who help them on their quest. There’s Aira, the peculiar shopkeeper who knows more about the curse than she lets on; Elma, the strange and mercurial fortune-teller who can see glimpses of the future; and Sieg, the young knight who agrees to help the sisters on their journey.
As Chante and Elise explore the ruins and learn more about the curse, they begin to realize that there is more to the story than they originally thought. The witch who cursed Chante is not who she seems, and the curse itself is more powerful than they could have ever imagined.
Gameplay
Chantelise – A Tale of Two Sisters is a turn-based JRPG with a unique twist. Instead of controlling a party of four or five characters, players control only Chante and Elise. This forces players to carefully consider each character’s strengths and weaknesses, and to use strategy to overcome their enemies.
Chante and Elise have different abilities that can be used in battle. Chante can use her fairy magic to attack enemies and heal allies, while Elise can use her sword to deal physical damage. Players can also use items to buff their characters or debuff their enemies.
