Mario Kart Arcade GP DX: A Detailed Overview
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is a Mario Kart game for arcade systems, developed by Namco Bandai Games in partnership with Nintendo. It is the tenth installment in the Mario Kart franchise and the third title in the Arcade series following Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, which was a follow-up to Mario Kart Arcade GP. The game was released in Japan on July 25, 2013 and in the United States during 2014. Just like the previous two Arcade GP games, it is possible to do multiplayer play by linking up to four cabinets.
Gameplay
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is a racing game where players control one of twelve characters from the Mario franchise as they race around a variety of tracks. The game features a variety of modes, including Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Battle.
In Grand Prix mode, players race against seven other opponents across four different cups, each with four tracks. The player who finishes first in each race earns the most points, and the player with the most points at the end of the cup wins.
In Time Trial mode, players race against the clock to try to set the fastest possible time on a track. Players can also race against ghost data of other players.
In Battle mode, players compete in one of three different modes: Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, and Renegade Roundup. In Balloon Battle, players try to pop each other’s balloons. In Bob-omb Blast, players try to blow each other up with Bob-ombs. And in Renegade Roundup, one player is the “Renegade” and tries to capture all of the other players.
